The South Texas Supply Chain
Needs Assessment

The Institute for Homeland Security (IHS) at Sam Houston State University delivers tailored, innovative knowledge aimed at safeguarding critical infrastructure vital to Texas and the nation's economy.

In 2022, IHS, in partnership with The Wilson Center Mexico Institute, hosted a round table discussion about threats, vulnerabilities, and challenges specific to transportation and supply chain issues in Brownsville.

Now we are expanding the scope and seeking input from the broader South Texas business community regarding supply chain topics for a regional needs assessment study. Our main objective is to gather and analyze your invaluable insights to identify existing threats encountered in your operations and understand how they may impact commerce flow in the Texas-Mexico border region.
