This free training program equips professionals responsible for protecting critical infrastructure with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance security risk management operations, understand compliance requirements, and serve as a valuable tool for achieving business goals. Students seeking to develop their skills are also welcome to register and network with professionals. Upon completion of the program, a certificate is awarded.

When you register, you need to provide your first and last name, email, and phone number. After entering all the required information, click the "Register" button. You will then be directed to the "Welcome to the Course Catalog" page where you should click the green "Confirm" button. Once you have clicked "Confirm", you will receive a message saying, "Thank you, your registration was received!". Click the "Go to Dashboard" button to access the SHSU.GENIUSSIS portal where you will be able to view all the courses you have registered for. On the sidebar, click "Message Center" where you will find various messages related to your course registration and IHS: Login Credentials. To set up your portal password, click the IHS: Login Credentials message and then click "Your One-Time Password Link" to create a password. Remember to save the email address and password used during registration.

After attending the live courses at Texas Southmost College in Brownsville, Texas. You must pass the knowledge checks with a minimum score of 70%. To receive the certificate of completion, you must attend all six courses offered on October 24th, November 14th, and December 13th and complete the knowledge checks for each course. Purpose Statement

The Institute for Homeland Security at Sam Houston State University has partnered with Texas Southmost College. Together, we will provide free Executive Leadership courses to security managers in Brownsville. These courses aim to equip security managers with the necessary skills to protect critical infrastructure effectively. Additionally, homeland security professionals will learn how to integrate security initiatives into their organization's strategic and tactical goals.
