What is the SimTable?

The SimTable is a tabletop sandbox for visualizing natural and man-made disasters. The software included has various interactive features that allow emergency managers to perform critical decisions in exercises with their teams. The interactive nature of the SimTable provides knowledge and experience in incident command systems. This allows teams to get familiarized with procedures in place and develop new tactics to respond to emergencies. The SimTable can also map resources for hospitals, fire stations, schools, areas of critical infrastructure, shelters, hot zones, and more:

Organization Resilience

Business Continuity

Tabletop exercises are discussion-based sessions where team members meet to discuss their responses to a particular emergency situation. A business continuity exercise includes but is not limited to delegating authorities, communications, and alternate operating locations.


Functional Recovery

Tabletop exercises brings together police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and other first responders. Cooperating on SimTable exercises allows all members to review their mitigation plans and practice emergency responses.


 

Emergency Communication
