Hilda Jepkorir is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Homeland Security (IHS), Sam Houston State University (SHSU), where she contributes to research projects focused on public safety networks and geospatial analysis. Hilda holds a Bachelor of Technology in Surveying Technology from the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a full-time student at SHSU.
Hilda brings valuable hands-on experience to her role, having worked as a GIS Analyst in Kenya, where she was involved in land and physical planning, as well as infrastructure projects. She has also served as an Assistant Surveyor at the Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA), where she gained a solid foundation in spatial data management and project implementation.
In her current role at IHS, Hilda supports research-related topics helping to address key challenges in infrastructure governance and homeland security.
